I’ve always been a student of life, even when I didn’t know there was anything to learn. My mind was simply open and curious and I filled it with the cool writings of Heinlein, Asimov, and Twain (among many others),  the visually stimulating Spiderman and Batman, surviving the influence of boyhood friendships and oh yeah, school.

As I grew, I expanded a bit. I joined the Marines when it wasn’t fashionable to do so and spent several years learning about what it meant to be green, before it meant what it does today. I must say that there is nothing comparable to saying “I’m a Marine!” (Never ex, thank you) Later, some high tech jobs with awesome companies in the aerospace world. Heck, I even worked on the Space Shuttle program for a number of years. Good times, I tell you!

And now… Well, we’ll see, won’t we?

Along the way I have learned many things with the help of many wonderful people to which I love and owe a serious debt of gratitude. They know who they are. In many ways, they are the creators of “Tools For Life”. I’m merely the conduit.

I do not know anyone as accomplished as you are Jim. You are such a marvel and this is the best time of your life.
I love your honesty, compassion, wit and wisdom. These are the qualities that make the best motivational coaches. You are only one tiny step away.

Any man who filled those yellow footprints and then used them as a launching pad from which to attain even greater heights is a man I am proud to know. Great to be a fellow traveller on this amazing journey.
    God bless you!!
(And the librarian at my elementary school sent a letter of concern home to my parents……seems I was reading science fiction and that was inappropriate for a girl child!)
